Veve's Ramblings
I had been dying to make a Kenshin layout for a long time now ever since that Kenshin layout that I made for DigiCreation. It's simple in composition but it's one of my favourites. If you don't remember, it doesn't matter. I'm just say stuff to fill up space and I'm not using "dummy text" because this seems to be more "personal" even though it's meaningless talk.
I like the parchment and texture of this layout most. It works well with the image. The image is gorgeous, I think. I have this secret fascination of ninjas and samurais. This whole theme of duty, honour, face and of course, there's the kickass fighting style. I have never seen Kenshin, but I have seen Naruto and Ninja Turtle and One Piece because pirates are cool too =P
I really like the image. As time passes, I grow more and more fond of the manga style artwork as opposed to the animation. I hate the smoothness of it. When the manga is black and white, artist will need to rely more on lines and patterns to create depth. I find that far more interesting than solid regions of one colour and a darker colour in a region adjacent to it.
